Meet Chloe!

Since moving to the Hearth, Chloe greatly enjoys the wide variety of safe Community Life programs, in which residents participate in engaging activities based on their unique interests. Chloe’s personal favorites are the many crafting classes, like jewelry making and flower arranging. “I enjoy the activities that make a finished product,” she says. Chloe loves sharing her hand-made crafts with family and friends. “It’s amazing the different relatives of mine who like receiving my crafts. They like it when I give them things that I’ve made from here,” Chloe reflects.

The Comfort of Friendship: Meeting new people and doing new things

“I’ve formed new friendships at The Hearth. I’ve enjoyed meeting a large variety of people here. It’s really fun. I look forward to seeing residents each day, and there’s things we do together that I look forward to,” Chloe affirms. With plenty of activities to choose from, forming new friendships and discovering new interests is easy for residents at The Hearth. Whether they’re enjoying a socially distant meal together, or participating in a virtual book club, socializing with friends is a routine experience that residents look forward to each and every day.

At The Hearth residents are comforted by the safety and security of their community. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, The Hearth continues to communicate and follow guidelines created by the Centers for Disease Control, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

As residents have received their COVID-19 vaccines, and the community’s continued dedication to taking proactive safety precautions, residents feel comfort in socializing with friends in safe and creative ways.

When asked if Chloe would recommend The Hearth to adults in their later years, her answer is, “Absolutely.”

The Hearth is easy living and they serve wonderful food. It is very well-run and the team here couldn’t be nicer. They become our friends very quickly. There’s always someone around to help you.
